Summertime! (3)

More sketches from my French summer hideaway: a view from my garden, and a tiny chapel lost in the middle of a neighbouring field. It's a shame I can't find more time to paint with so much around here! I take a lot of pictures to use as inspiration for future paintings, sometimes a dozen of the same landscape: this way, I can see the changes of lig

My 'Sixty Feathers' painting is finished and framed. (painting 70 x 100 cm; framed 78 x 108 cm; watercolour and ink on 300gsm Fabriano cotton paper) It's nice to step back and look at it, ready to fly to its next destination. Now the Mistral has cleared it all, I'm just in tim
Autumn Light

Autumn Light

After a year of exclusively doing illustrations, I couldn't resist a little acrylic painting. Autumn is my favourite time of the year for walks in the park and observing nature. This time, my eye was caught by the end-of-day sunlight showing through the trees. Magic...!
Victoria Sponge Cake

Victoria Sponge Cake

I take my work very seriously. Here is an illustrated recipe of a Strawberry and Buttercream Victoria Sponge Cake, fully tried and tasted, and approved by a full birthday party! Easy to make, light and fluffy to eat... No excuse not to give it a go! Print available from my shops here and here; also featured on the The Draw and Cook website here! En
